Hi there! I’m Morgan Arrowood. I’m a Traverse City based portrait photographer. My specialty is creating bold, romantic, dreamy photographs that showcase the iconic natural beauty of Northern Michigan. Let’s capture the magic of your story together!

Who am I?

I began shooting in early high school—mostly creative photoshoots with friends. After winning the regional first place overall photo award for the annual Traverse Area Camera Club competition in 2010, I realized photography was more than just a hobby. I decided to formally launch my business in 2022. Since then, I’ve completed shoots in headshots, engagements, corporate events, editorial style creative sessions, and am currently fortunate to be the in-house photographer at Higher Grounds Trading Co where I specialize in commercial product photography, marketing, and lifestyle imagery.

In my spare time, I love to draw, craft, write music (my husband and I met when he auditioned to be the drummer in my indie rock band back in 2017!), and hang out with my sweet gray fur baby, our cat Yuki. I pride myself in being easy to work with, detail oriented, and am committed to providing reasonable rates. I fully believe that everybody deserves access to having their precious memories captured at fair price point. Let’s talk!

  • Full access to your own high resolution photo folder available for download from a securely emailed website link upon editing completion

  • Fair, accessible rates

  • Coaching direction through all poses! You would be surprised at how many people feel nervous before taking part in a session. I will do my best to put you at ease and guide you through every stage of the process to give you the most naturally posed, authentically “you” looking photos possible.

  • Light retouching (if desired—just let me know!). I want you to feel your best, and I am a whiz with retouching common areas of concern (spots, color correction, etc).
